Pregnancy 101: Prepping for Parenthood – Haemorrhoids and Pregnancy

Colorectal Cancer Awareness Talk at Hougang Community Club

Colorectal cancer is the most common cancer in Singapore, with the number of colorectal cancer cases steadily increasing in both men and women.

Over the weekend, Dr. Sim Hsien Lin spoke to the senior community residents of Hougang at Hougang Community Club (CC) to highlight the importance of early screening and detection to reduce one’s risk of colorectal cancer.

Organised by Hougang CC and supported by Singapore Cancer Society (SCS), this Mandarin talk sought to engage the residents and promote primary screening via the distribution of Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) kits, which is a preliminary test that detects the presence of small amounts of blood in faeces, a possible symptom of Colorectal Disease.
