According to the Singapore Cancer Society, cervical cancer is the 10th most common cancer amongst women in Singapore. The cervix is made up of millions of cells. When changes occur and are left untreated, these cells can develop into cervical cancer. The most common cause of which comes from persistent infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV).
